One of Athens’ first planned neighborhoods, Cobbham (pronounced by locals as Cobb-ham) is located roughly south of Prince Avenue, north of Hancock Avenue, west of Pope Street and east of King Street. This historic district of winding streets showcases a wide range of architecture including Antebellum, Federal, Greek Revival, Queen Anne, American Craftsman and others.
 
Residents and visitors alike are also drawn to this neighborhood for it’s wonderful restaurants and cafes including The Grit, Hendershots, Seabear Oyster Bar, Viva! Argentine Cuisine and Donderos’ Kitchen. This charming community is walkable to downtown Athens, Chase Street Elementary School, Normaltown, and all of the lovely local businesses in between.
